The Soul Space & Yogibirds Yoga offer this warm, practical and confidence-building session designed to support both pregnant women and their birth companions in preparing for labour and birth. Blending biomechanics, psychology and evidence-based birth knowledge, this hands-on workshop gives you the tools, techniques and understanding you need to work together as a team on the day.
Across the morning, we explore how the labouring woman may want to move, position herself and breathe, and how partners can support those instincts with comfort measures, confidence and calm. You’ll learn simple, practical “tools” for working with labour sensations — including touch, massage, movement, breathwork and positioning — using everyday items such as birth balls, pillows and chairs.
The workshop also offers space for couples to connect, practise techniques together, and build a shared plan for birth. After the session, enjoy tea and cake with the group to ask questions, chat and meet other parents-to-be.
